Since graduating with a Bachelor in Visual Communication Design from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2015 I have gained experience working in a small-medium Australian Start-up, an email marketing agency and as a self-employed freelancer. I’ve spent the last 5 years wearing a number of metaphorical hats, developing my skills in design, leadership, product/project management, social media marketing and front end web development.
In 2017 I decided to travel abroad and was fortunate enough to work remotely for 2 years. During this time I embraced the challenge of working in a self-driven environment, fostering a high level of communication and collaborating with people across 7 different countries. I have recently returned to Australia and am seeking new challenges and opportunities.
As a designer, I thrive on creating visually delightful products that serve the user. My approach to problem solving is creative, yet analytical. I’m often asking stakeholders: ‘why?’ This helps me break down seemingly complex problems and identify the root problem to be solved.
When I’m not working you’ll find me exploring world, dabbling in new experiences or petting someone’s dog a little too enthusiastically.
I’m always open to hearing about new projects and opportunities, so please feel free to contact me.

Kate is a hardworking graphic designer who has a commendable work ethic, a great attitude to new projects and fantastic interpersonal skills. She can be relied upon to produce quality work, even when given tight deadlines. She is resourceful and always ready to suggest an alternative when required. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Kate and would not hesitate to recommend her to any future employers.
Just wanted to say that the new UI you've put together looks really great. I was immediately impressed when I saw this iteration. The colour scheme/balance in particular is a huge step up and you've solved some major UI issues with core interface. Really looking forward to seeing the final version!
